Working Offline
Sending email invoices from POS requires an internet connection. If you're currently using Offline POS it's due to you not currently having an internet connection. Once your internet connection is restored and you return to Online POS Mode, you will be able to email invoices again.
Simply click the 'I want to go Offline' box when the popup appears to indicate your Cloud Connection has been lost.
Your integrated EFTPOS is reliant on your internet connection. If you have no internet connection then you'll need to use an alternate Payment Type or speak to your EFTPOS provider about manual transaction options.
Alternatively, if your EFTPOS terminal has it's own internet connection (dongle) while you may be able to process manual sales via the terminal, an internet connection is still required for the ETFPOS to communicate with POS.
Connection Restoration
You transactions should start to synchronise automatically once a stable internet connection has been established.
Your synchronisation may take anywhere from 5 minutes to 5 hours depending on the amount of data required to be synchronised, the size of your database and your internet speed.
Go Back Online - this option will exit Offline Mode and return to standard Online POS Mode. At this point any transactions made in Offline Mode will automatically start to synchronise. You may notice your Offline Server Status appears Amber during this period.
Stay Offline Longer - this option will allow you to remain in Offline Mode for another 10 minutes. Use this in the event that you're internet connection has been restored however you don't believe it's stable.
If you change your network/internet connection after Offline POS has been installed, the Offline POS system will not be operational. Part of the Offline POS installation includes the configuration of the network, changing this means that Offline POS does not recognise the new settings and cannot connect.
For example, you might change from a wired network connection to wifi, or if you lose internet connection and have to connect using your phone (hotspot) or a usb internet dongle.
To resolve the issue you will need to reinstall Offline POS using the new network settings.
